Gene Key 45 - On becoming someone no one thought you could be

Our ancestry tends to create a groove that maps out the path of our life.

Even before we're born there's a definite track available to us.

Yet some people aren't here to follow it; they have to create their own way.

Which means charting new territory.

Being the first in your family.

Doing things like no one 'like you' has done before.

Maybe people support you.

Likely your choices make you too different from those you'd feel would be your closest allies.

Nevertheless it would be inauthentic for you to remain in a groove that would only get harder to leave the longer you stay.

Even if it makes you different.

Even if it makes you separate.

Even if it means searching for those who will understand why you chose what those before you didn't.

And in the process you become someone that no one, including yourself, believed you could be.

Want the deeper dive? That's exactly the work we do in Illuminated.
